Luna

DOB: 5/30/20

Luna is an adorable small grey cat. She's polite, smart, and curious. She doesn't jump on keyboards or swipe at hands, and she loves to quietly check out what you’re doing, especially if you're working on a jigsaw puzzle. I believe she’s part Korat, an unusual breed here in the U.S.. Korats are slow to grow, so she’ll probably stay adorably petite for a few more years.

A few months ago Luna was living on the streets, a small timid stray in a large cat colony. Now that she lives indoors in a safe and quiet home her confidence has blossomed!

She's looking for her special person, someone kind and patient who can spend quality time with her as she becomes even more confident and used to being petted (you’ll be able to get a few pets in while she’s eating, but otherwise she isn’t used to being held or otherwise petted).

Korats are supposedly affectionate, so I have high hopes that Luna will learn to love being petted. But even if that doesn’t happen, she'll still show you she loves you and trusts you in other ways, like when she sits next to you, or flops over and lays on her back to show you her tummy.

I know Luna will make the perfect laid-back companion for the right person, someone who will love and accept her quirky and cautious personality. She really is a sweet kitten (roughly 1 year old). I think she would do well living with another laid back cat (Korats like to be the boss), or as a single cat in a quiet home. She has special dietary needs because of food allergies. She requires hydrolyzed food (I'll hopefully have a few cans leftover to give you to start you off) or a novel food diet.
