Ollie

Ollie is a sweet 3-year old chocolate boy who is about 75 pounds, up-to-date on vaccinations, and neutered.

Ollie is a relatively high energy young boy whose favorite things are playing ball, doing agility and games, going for walks, food, and snuggling. He needs about 1.5-2 hours of activity, exercise (physical and mental), and playtime throughout the day.

Ollie is very affectionate, loves to cuddle, and will follow you around everywhere.  He loves his people so much that he has some separation anxiety when you leave. We’re working with him on it and he’s making progress but his new person/family needs to be committed to continue working on it with him in small increments over time.

Ollie’s ideal home will include a large fenced-in yard (he really loves exploring and running full speed around it!) and a person/family who will play with him in it, not just to let him out to play on his own. He loves interacting with his people and is smart, athletic, and eager to please so would be a great candidate for someone interested in doing agility, games, or tricks.

We think having a calm, confident dog in his home could help with Ollie’s separation anxiety but he’d also do okay being an only dog and getting all the attention and cuddles to himself.  Due to his energy and knock-down factor, Ollie should be placed in a home with older or no kids.

Because of his separation anxiety, Ollie needs a home where he’s not alone much, not just during COVID, but afterwards as well.  A person/family who has experience with separation anxiety would be ideal but is not necessary as long as the person/family is willing to learn and invest the time to work with Ollie to provide him the consistent structure, routine, exercise, and affection he needs.  Brookline will provide support and Ollie’s current trainer will aid them with his transition.

Are you looking for a walking, hiking or jogging partner?  Would you be interested in doing agility or games?  Do you want a new furry best friend who loves to cuddle?  If so, Ollie may be for you!
