SNICKERS

United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed below.

Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue.

Description:

A5262008 Snickers is a tender 8-month-old blonde and white spayed female Chihuahua and Italian Greyhound mix puppy who was surrendered by her owner to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on March 13th. Weighing 9 lbs, Snickers is a precious young girl who might be a happy purse pet for someone who will treasure and care for her properly. She has a health waiver due to a cataract that we think has  blinded her in one eye and she needs to see an outside veterinarian on adoption to get a plan for treatment. Snickers is young and adaptable so we think she will easily learn how to get by with the vision she has. Curious and alert she likes to explore what’s going on from the comfort of her handler’s arms. Sharing her kennel with another dog (who came in with her but is Rescue Only), she might enjoy having a canine buddy at home. Snickers is nervous meeting new people at first, but once she feels comfortable she settles in to enjoy cuddles. We think she will blossom into a wonderful companion in a quiet home where she is loved.
